Our goal is to partner with parents to teach children about Jesus and how the entire Bible reveals His redeeming grace, striving to make the experience both faithful and fun!
COS Kids offers care and classes for children ages 0 through 5th grade. Each class provides a safe, structured environment with age-appropriate content and increasing levels of structure as children grow.
We provide a dedicated, comfortable room for mothers to nurse their children. The room is equipped with a TV streaming the sermon so you won’t miss the service. If you need help finding it, simply ask a COS Kids Discipler.
The goal at this age is to create a nurturing environment which sets the foundation in young hearts that church is a place for both learning and fun. Parents can take comfort in knowing that their young children are receiving exceptional, loving care while they enjoy the corporate gathering.
We ask kids ages four and above to attend the first part of the worship service with their family. After being dismissed from the main worship service, these children participate in our elementary COS Kids program where each week they receive relevant Bible teaching from the Gospel Story for Kids curriculum and enjoy age-appropriate crafts.
Elementary (Ages 4 – 5th Grade)
Because we are a young church plant, all elementary-aged children are currently combined into one class. We recognize that four-year-olds and fifth graders are at very different stages, but our teachers are patient and flexible. Lessons and activities are adapted so that each child can engage at their own level and learn in a meaningful way. While most of our families right now have younger children, we look forward to growing into the needs of older students as our church family expands.
COS Kids exists to make disciples of all ages and equip parents to fulfill their God-given responsibility to train their children in the “instruction and discipline of the Lord.”
Upon arrival, follow the signs to the COS Kids check-in kiosk. You’ll enter your family’s information directly into the system, including contact details and any allergy notes.
Both you and your child will receive matching security stickers - your child will wear theirs during class, and you’ll use yours at pickup after the service. Once you’ve checked in the first time, your information will be saved, and new stickers will print automatically each week.
If you’d like extra stickers to label diaper bags or other belongings, you can easily print those at the kiosk as well.
After checking in, children ages 4 through 5th grade join their family or caregiver for the first part of the worship service before being dismissed to their class.
We do this intentionally so they can begin learning what it means to be part of the larger gathered church, making the eventual transition into full services a natural and meaningful step as they grow.
If your child needs you during the service, their unique security code will quickly appear on the screen behind the preacher. When you see your code, please go directly to your child’s classroom. You can be confident that our team will care for your child and contact you right away if you’re needed.
We are committed to the safety of your children so all of our leaders are active members who have been trained and carefully screened (including a background check). To further our safety precautions, we use secure check-in and check-out procedures with identification badges unique to each family.
We kindly ask parents to take their child to the restroom and/or change diapers before checking them into COS Kids. If a child needs a restroom break or diaper change during the service, we will contact you right away so you can assist.
For the safety and dignity of every child, our volunteers do not take children to the restroom and do not change diapers. You can be confident that your child will be cared for with patience and attentiveness until you arrive.
