The symbol in our logo—the overlapping “X” (chi) and “P” (rho)—comes from the first two Greek letters in the name Christ. Known as the Chi Rho, this was one of the earliest symbols used by Christians to mark their allegiance to Jesus, often etched into the walls of catacombs where believers gathered in secret and under persecution.
In our version, the Rho curves like a shepherd’s staff, reminding us not only of the historic church’s faithfulness, but of Christ’s own role as our Shepherd—present, guiding, and laying down His life for the sheep.
We’ve chosen this symbol to declare our place in that great cloud of witnesses and our dependence on the same gospel of grace, “once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3).
We follow one Shepherd.
We proclaim one hope.
We lift up one name—Christ crucified.
